Rosewood (also known as "bois de rose"), has a very sweet, woody-floral fragrance, almost rose-like, but with more of a piney kick, and a hint of spice.

Rosewood is on the endangered species list. Our wholesaler says: "We get Rosewood out of Brazil. The story is - along with a government certificate - that the program is to plant 3 new trees for each one harvested. That, plus the fact that aromatherapy uses for Rosewood are a minute fraction of the total used, I am pretty happy to offer the oil."
